A shot of one of the side entrances to Roger Dean Stadium. The palm trees almost didn’t fit from where I was standing.
Yadier Molina at the plate (yes…again!). According to my scorecard, (which…despite my best efforts is sometimes inaccurate) young Yadier was 1 for 3 at the plate. Despite the low .333 average for the day, he’s still batting over .400 for the spring! Just an observation…
Another 3 in 1…this time in a diagonal, but straight, line. Impressive! Molina behind the plate, Rolen at third, Duncan in left.
Molina pointing his bat like he means business while Spivey tries to copy him in hopes of becoming half as good!
One of the biggest problems facing baseball today is that too many people pay attention to other things going on instead of paying attention to the player at the plate. Yadier Molina, who is batting in this shot, should be the center of attention, but some people insist on paying attention to Junior Spivey, who is on deck.
One of the biggest problems facing baseball is that too many people spend time watching the batter when they should be paying attention to who’s on deck. Just my opinion though. Yadier Molina is the person on deck in this particular snapshot, Chris Duncan is at the plate, and Jose Oquendo is being his usual awesomeness coaching third. (The Marlins catcher, Josh Willingham, and their entire bullpen are also shown.)
A less great 3 in 1. Pujols at first, Spivey at second, and So Taguchi in center. Have I mentioned lately how Taguchi that guy is…very Taguchi! (L-A-M-E…I know…)
